It is now proved that many types of cancer are heredity. Cancer neither affects you in one day nor does it appear at once. It is advised that we should keep strong eye on our bodies so we can detect any unusual changes before hand. Women are victimized by all types of cancer but breast cancer, ovarian cancer, cervical cancer, endometrial cancer, gestational trophoblastic tumor, vaginal cancer, vulvar cancer and uterine sarcoma are observed more frequently.
Women are not only more vulnerable to disease but also a medium to convey disease to upcoming generations. They should be conscious of any changes exhibiting in their body parts. If one can detect cancer at an early stage only then it is possible to completely cure the patient. It is not necessary that all unusual changes forecast one or another type of cancer, but it is better to be at one’s guard.
- Pain in Pelvic: The pressure below the navel or pain is the characteristic of pelvic pain. The pain prevails constantly and is not restricted to premenstrual syndrome. This pain is related with vaginal cancer, fallopian tube cancer, cervical cancer, ovarian cancer and endometrial cancer.
- Constant Pain in Lower Back: Lower back pain is the symptom of ovarian cancer. It occurs in the lower part of female’s back and feels like a dull ache that is described by some women as labor pain.
- Bloating and Swelling of Abdomen: It is one of the most typically found symptoms of ovarian cancer. The bloating can be so severe that one may become unable to wear or button up pants and trousers. It is unfortunately, one of the most neglected symptoms of non-invasive cancer.
- Persistent Fever: It is observed that a majority of people do not consider fever a serious symptom of any upcoming ailment. Any fever that stays for more than seven days is alarming, and one should immediately consult doctor. Continuous fever points out at cancer. Moreover, fever signifies not only cancer but also a number of benign conditions.
- Abnormal Vaginal Bleeding: A woman suffering from vaginal bleeding is mostly diagnosed with abnormal vaginal bleeding. Usually, three types of bleedings come under this category: heavy menstrual bleeding, bleeding during the gap between periods and bleeding during or after the sexual intercourse. These three bleedings are found to indicate a gynecologic cancer, mostly resulting in uterine cancer, ovarian cancer and cervical cancer.
- Constant Constipation and Changes in Bowel: One must consult woman if she experiences constipation, blood in the stools, diarrhea, thinner stools or any overall change in the bowel habit. Colon cancer and gynecological cancer are indicated by such changes in the bowel.
- Unusual Weight Loss: It is usual that the weight of a woman keeps on changing throughout the month but if someone has lost 10 or more pounds without exercise or any intentional measure than she must consult to doctor for proper counseling.
- Vaginal Abnormalities: Vulvar or vaginal abnormalities include change in skin color, sores, blister and discharge. It is only possible through regular examination that woman can be cured from the cancer in the mean time.
- Changes in breast: Self examination is required to point out many diseases. If you notice that there are some changes in your breast skin, wrinkling or dimpling, soreness, lumps, reddishness or discharge from nipple then you must consult the gynecologist to figure out where the symptoms are indicating.
- Fatigue: The most commonly observed and casually ignored symptom of cancer is fatigue. Any kind of fatigue that refrain you from doing your normal work is symptom of cancer and you must consult your physician.
